V151 Unlock
We would like to travel to Central America - have a pair of currently not
used (no USA subscriptions) V151s. What is the best way to unlock for this
kind of use?
Tks!

If they used to be on a subscription, you could ask your former carrier for
the subsidy unlock code. AT&T will provide the unlock code for Cingular
phones, although some say they claim to be unable to unlock former AT&T
phones.

Re: V151 Unlock
Yes, maybe by coincidence, re details of your reply, originally the phones
were obtained through Cingular. Here in Sarasota, FL, 'we', at least I,
have terrrible problems with Cingular - towers fighting for my signal so
Cust Support said. They finally suggested that I drop out of their system
which I did. The GSM V151s are now neatly tucked away for possible use in
Cent Amer.
Tks for the feedback. A Happy New Year to You!

Call customer service and ask for the subsidy unlock code.
Or wander through the web site "contact us" page, "other problem" and send
them email. Include your IMEI number in the email.
IMEI is shown with *#06# on some Motorola phones. It's also printed under
the battery.

You can try to unlock via software but you may loss some datas. So the best suggestion of mine is purchase the code from http://www.onlinegsmunlock.com/ then get the instructions as free from the same site unlock it & enjoy
