HELP!!! BT Keyboard can't type in passkey
I have bought this keyboard and mouse combo quite some time now from CompUSA, just recently this Sunday, the keyboard stop working! I thought it needed new batteries as always, so change the batteries the the software pickups the signal from the keyboard, but when I try to punch in the passkey it doesn't work!!! I tried the "wireless link" applet at the control panel and detects it as a CSR-bc2 device rather than Microsoft Keyboard, anyone has this type of problem yet??? I'm not really concern on how XP should detect the device but as long as I can type again so I can connect my keyboard back. HELP PLEASE.... glady appreciate it.

I've got the same exact problem. I've sent several e-mails to technical support and others at Bluetooth.org and all I've received are automated responses.
What is weird though, is that I've seen others with the same exact problem. I tried looking for help online, and all I find is a person with the same problem.
I'm going to keep e-mailing Bluetooth.org and hope that I get some answers...

To the both of you, I would suggest unplugging your USB adapter and plugging it back in. That solves 90% of Windows USB problems. The other 10% are solved by removing the thing, rebooting, and then plugging it back in.

I've tried unplugging my USB adapter and plugging it back inand it hasn't worked. My mouse works fine but the keyboard won't respond to anything.
I've uninstalled and then reisnstalled the program for the keyboard about a thousand times now and I've even gone as far as to do a system restore just to make sure that it wasn't something that I may have downloaded that somehow stopped making me keyboard work.
My keyboard stopped working when I was plsying a game. While I was playing, it was working fine, then I got a prompt saying that my kb batteries were low, so I changed them. When I put in the new batteries, the keyboard stopped respoding. I tried several batteries and the keyboard bever repsonds.
I been trying to fix the problem ever since, and I've tryed everything that's been suggested. I am trying to contact the manufacturer, but all e-mails that I send out come back with an auto response. I've been searching for a way to fix this problem, and all I find are others with the same exact problem.
Thanks for any help.

Can you please send me info on how you returned your keyboard? I bought my mouse and keyboard at Comp USA. HAd to bring back keyboard before. Now I can't type in the passkey, like the guy above stated. I think it has to late to bring it back to COMP USA. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I recently called Microsoft and they will be replacing my bluetooth keyboard for free since it is still covered by warranty...
the number I called was: 1800-360-7561
I spoke to someone and I will be receiving my new KB in about 5-10 days, I should be posting after I receive it to make sure it works, but I couldn't wait since I am happy that I finally found a solution to my problem.
