Default Remote control of Windows desktop and MediaPlayer

I was given a demonstration of some built-in functionality of a
Sony-Ericsson K700i - remote control of a Windows PC via Bluetooth. Either
just the MediaPlayer or full control of the desktop : moving the mouse,
navigating through My Computer, etc.

Pretty cool, actually ...

I then was told that a Sony-Ericsson T630 (and maybe even the T610) can do
the same, but these options are either well-hidden or deactivated by
default.

Can anyone help me shed some light on the subject ?

Thanks in advance.

Surely somebody could help you ;-)

I know two programs, which can do this (even with a T68). The first is
"Float's Mobile Agent" which could be found at http://fma.sourceforge.net/.
In my opinion this program is a must for every owner of a compatible S/E
Handy... For the functionallity of remote control you must install the
Microsoft Windows Script Control which is in the paket of FMA.

The second program you could take (but I did not test it) is "PC Control"
which you can find at http://www.christersson.org/index.php.

Hope I helped you...

Thomas

I was under the impression, that the option was built-in on a T630 - like it
is on a K700i.

But at least it's possible.

Thanks for the input.

Maybe I should ask a different question :

Is it possible to copy / install the Remote Control software (JAVA ?) from a
K700i on a T630 ?

I just think the user interface of the built-in programme is neat ...
