Bluetooth 2 (A2DP) to Bluetooth 1 (HS or HF)

Is it possible to do Bluetooth 2 (A2DP) to Bluetooth 1 (HS or HF)?
Through some sort of translator / re-router / interface on a PDA under WM6.

Problem: I-mate Jasjam (Hermes100) PDA with A2DP when playing MP3 sound doesn't come through Bluetooth Headset (HF or HS) (N-com bike helmet comm from Nolan).

The phone calls come through and can be answered and hung up etc but won't send the MP3 sound through.

From what I've been told it is an issue with the Bluetooth Kit for the helmet being only HF or HS.

Is A2DP not backwardly compatible?
