Hi,
I was wondering if this is possible.
I want to use the V600 to control my PC (running Mandrake Linux 10
official with BlueZ Bluetooth stack)
I've got the whole bluetooth stuff working and can send files to/from PC
via OBEX and can bind a "serial port" on my PC to the Dial Up Networking
bluetooth channel on the V600 and "talk" to the modem via a termial
emulator program (Minicom). I can issue AT commands but the Motorola
doesn't seem to support the handy Ericsson extension AT*EAM etc. for
adding accessories menus to the phone and sending key presses back to
the PC...
So, I figured I could write a program on my PC that created a VNC
(virtual Network Computing) RFB (Remote Frame Buffer) of the shape and
size of the V600 screen. I could then use the J2ME version of the VNC
client
(

to connect to this server from the V600.
Now, I don't particularly want to use GPRS for this (seeing as I'll be
quite close to my PC - think media player remote!), and would like to be
able to connect to my PC directly over the bluetooth link, from the
J2ME app.
Anyone have any info on this kind of fiddling? Is there a good email
contact for emailing Moto's developers? I've got a buddy who works there
but totally separate division and he claims ignorance!!
Any replies - even just to discuss without any actual help - would be
interesting!
Cheers
Col.
PS to email, take out the nospams and move the at sign after my first name.
