Default how to transmit data over Bluetooth?

Hi there,

We are working on an embedded system project and want to transmit an electrical signal from a photodiode to a hardware circuit using a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver. The photodiode signal will be an analog signal ranging from 0 to +5V.

Since we are new in the business, we are not sure which BT transmitter and receiver to use for this purpose. We are looking for a best value product (cheapest price, maximum features) since our budget is not too big. We just need the BT device to work under a 5 m range.

We would really appreciate if someone can guide us in this project.

Thanks,
Rashid and Raaed.

For under 5m, you can easily do a Class 2 Bluetooth Module. There are several available, but I would recommend Baracoda's (www.baracoda.com), because of their onboard memory and processor, so you don't need anything outside of the module, as long as it's small enough.

Good luck with your project.

Yes, the baracoda was good. I used that with great success.
