Angry Help with setup !

Hi all,

In order to rescue the computers and other equipment in my study from suffering the worst type of abuse and obvious destruction, by a frustration-ridden fat bloke, who is eyeing up the axe in the corner with more and more tempting eyes, I am hoping that someone here can assit me with my Wireless setup.

I have 2 computers ;

PC1 - P3/500 384mb

PC2 - P3/800 256mb

Both running XP Pro, SP2.

Working great on a 10/100 mini wired hub, sharing my Broadband connection.

I decided a couple of weeks ago to do a home "technology upgrade"

Purchased 2 HP Pavillion P4/2.5ghz 512mb machines running XP Home.(PC3 & PC4) Also purchased 3 Belkin G USB wireless cards, and a BT Voyager 2100 Wireless modem/hub

Currently have 4 pc's side by side;

PC1 - Hard wired to Voyager

PC2 - Wireless to Voyager through USB G

PC3 - Hard wired to Voyager

PC4 - Wireless to voyager through USB G

PC3 was used to first configure the Voyager to it's defaults.

They all connect to the internet ok, however PC2 and PC4 continue to show an error message of "WLanCfg.exe error would you like to send a report" if closed, it just reappears and takes the focus of the pc too, so you have to press 'send' or 'don't send' every 20-30 seconds !

No PC will connect to MSN Messenger.

I've tried all I know (didn't take long) but am now fed up

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as that axe is edging closer and closer

Cheers

the one with the error, I would uninstall the hardware and any software for it then reinstall it with a newer driver from the vender's site. I would not install the software but use the Windows XP Wireless configuration (that is if you're running WinXP).

for the MSN issue, make sure you have the correct port opened on the router.
