Default install language

I am trying to install my Qtrek 100 meter bluetooth usb stick onto a Compaq
Presario 2700 laptop, fitted with XP pro SP2.(English version). The CD asks
me to select a language, I select English, it then asks if I want to install
the Usb stick again in English, I say OK and then it proceeds to install in
Russian. It installs just fine but going onto the next stage is impossible,
for this Bluetooth first timer. (Donīt speak Russian.... LOL)
So I took the CD put it into my PC, (XP Home with SP2,) and went through the
same actions, on my PC where I donīt want it, it continued to install in
English as it should. I have no idea why the Laptop selects Russian all of a
sudden. Crazy. Any ideas.

Check all your regional settings in Control panel. Make sure they are
set for common US, i..e. maybe one has the currency set wrong.
