Re: USB adaptor advice (UK)
Tom,
I have yet to hear from tech support but I finally got everything working
by going to the Widcom site and downloading an earlier version of the
software. After that I had to submit the serial number to the web site to
get a god awful long security key. Fortunately the turn around time from
serial number submission to key in my email was pretty fast. I believe I had
to go through the removal of the Microsoft default driver and choosing of
the Widcom driver. After all that, things have actually been running really
smooth. The Bluetooth connections are strong and stable. Why users have to
go through this kind of hassle is beyond me. It seems it would be easy
enough for the Dlink software to determine you are using SP2 and then to
give you a choice of removing the default driver or not. But C'est la vie!
