Devices cannot detect my v551 bluetooth! Please help

Just got a Motorola v551 so that I could pair it up with my Palm Tungsten T3 and Dell D600 laptop (with built-in Bluetooth - Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Internal card, running on Windows 2000). I also have a Blackberry that is Bluetooth.



My laptop and Palm can detect each other as well as the Blackberry, yet neither of the three can detect my v551. I activated the Bluetooth by going to the Bluetooth menu, clicking on SETUP, turning the Power ON and also clicking on "find me". Still, nothing.



Any ideas? Is my phone defective? Just got it yesterday...

Just got my V551 last night and have the exact same problem. Even went so far as to buy another dongle. My laptop and desktop will recognize see each other and also my T3. None of them will see my V551 however.
I turned the bluetooth power "ON", renamed it, and clicked Find Me. No joy It does not show up in "My Bluetooth Neighborhood". I noticed that when I power on and click find me in the Bluetooth setup menu and then exit back to the main menu and then try to get back into the bluetooth setup it gives me the error "Bluetooth Module Not Attached" and the ONLY way to get back into the bluetooth settings menu is to power the phone off. It does this EVERYTIME.
If I power the phone off and then on I have to access the Bluetooth menu BEFORE the little animated Bluetooth Icon quits flashing or the same error results.

I contacted Cingular and was told to return the phone. They are sending me a new one out. I will post if this solves the problem.
