Default Crash per BT print now

since a few months I printed without problems with sitecom SE-505 printserver and USB adapter.
I connected the adapter to one of 2 XP machines.
Another w2k pc prints via DBT-120 USB stick.
All of a suddon one of the XP machines showed a not-ready printer icon.
After reinstalling the SE-505 driver (4.04) the BT can be reassigned to my Canon printer, but after trying to print, there is a short sound of the printer and then the complete system is frozen.
I deinstalled sitecom USB software and installed the D-Link BT adapter and get the same problem.
I also loaded an old windows image (when printing was still ok) but get the icon with printer not found again.
When installing the DBT-120 adapter I am asked for a code, but I find no suitable code for the printer adapter. Also on my other XP machine, where the printer still works, I can see no code in the menus.

I have no idea, why one machine stopped service with the same BT hardware and even a previous windows image does not help.

Thanks for your hopefully helpful comment.

/Klaus
