Default Choosing an usb bluetooth adapter?

Hi,

I just ordered a Nokia 6600, and am in the market for a bluetooth
adapter for my laptop.
It seems like the Belkin ones are pretty popular, but are there other
brands I should consider as well? My friend has one that I think is a
Belkin. The nice thing about it is that it is a tiny, one-piece unit.
NO cables or dongles at the end, etc.
Other than the physical characteristics of the device, what should I
consider?

PC Conection has a Belkin F8T003, which apparently has a 10 meter range
for $33.00, and a F8T001 which offers a 100 meter range for $48.00.
Is it at all worth springing for the 100 meter model? Why in the world
would I ever wana use my phone 100 meters away from my PC?
Are there any other specs besides range which I should consider?

Thanks,

consider this....your 6600 has an effective range of 10 meters...do you
think it can communicate with your new bluetooth adapter from 30 meters
away? .....dont think so....

both devices must have an equal range for 2 way communication to work...

cheers

I think he means you must be within each devices range for 2 way
communications.

I use the Belkin 100m device with my Nokia mobile and Palm T3,
each of which only have a 10m range. I can get about 1/2 way around
the house and it works fine (haven't tried with XP SP2 yet). The
Belkin adaptor is a good device.

Wayne...
