Motorola T730, DC600, HS820

I have the above phone and Bluetooth adapter & headset. Following the directions I can not get the Bluetooth adapter (DC600) to pair with the HS820 headset. The headset is at 0000 which is the default for the DC600.

It goes as far as ready to pair then just doesn't get there.

Any ideas?
