Folder Watch

Dear All,

I am looking for the API to watch a folder structure (incl sub-folders) for
files to appear. Presently, this is a timer that triggers code to check
every few seconds.

As I recall there is some API that you can point to a folder and it will
trigger code only when a file appears in a folder, thereby using very little
processor power when nothing is happening.

Any clues much appreciated...
