Default Zonet Bluetooth USB Adapter - ZUB6101C!

Hi,

Any feed back on this adapter? It seems to have all the profiles I need and
it is 100M adapter and cheap too! Please let me know if you have any
experience with it. I had bought the TDK pc card last week but I took it
right back. 2 problems;
1. I found out that they don't have tech support here in the States.
2.The card does not go in all the way in the PCMCIA slot! It defeats the
purpose I bought it for which is to have it plugged in all the time! It
turned out to be just like a USB adapter..you have to unplug it when it is
time to pack the Laptop in the bag! Oh yeah, it is very expensive too!!

If you don't like the Zonet or don't know about it, anything else you can
suggest is greatly appreciated. The profiles I mainly use are, Headset,
serial port, and dial-up networking.

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Zonet Bluetooth USB Adapter - ZUB6101C!

I just purchased this adapter and I have a question about it. I mainly use
my Bluetooth adapter for audio (headset profile) and communication (serial
port profile) with my phone (SE P910 and Nokia 6600). Now, when my headset
is connected via Bluetooth and I try to activate the serial port for my
phone the adapter shuts off! I mean shuts off, the blue light goes out and I
have to unplug it and re-plug it to get it to work again. The same problem
arises if I try to send a file or a photo from the PC to the phone.

I called Tech support and they are telling me that this is normal! They say
that when using the head set then that is the only profile you can use! Is
this true? If it is then I think Bluetooth sucks!

I hope that someone with Bluetooth knowledge can get back to me. I am trying
to learn this thing. Thanks.
