Default XP SP2 Bluetooth probs

I'm using XP SP2. When I first plugged in my Belkin dongle and started the
PC, the dongle was spotted and native SP2 support installed. I got a blue
and white icon in the system tray and a bluetooth device option appeared in
control panel - all going according to plan.

However, when the PC was rebooted next day the system tray icon and control
panel entry were gone. The device manager reports Belkin bluetooth adapter
and Microsoft bluetooth enumerator as installed and working properly but I
have no way of using them. Anybody know what's gone wrong?

I had the same problem with my D-Link Bluetooth.

You need to use the Belkin driver and not the MS driver. XP will choose the
MS driver if you let it choose... when it asks to search for a driver you
need to choose "no..." and then "Don't search, I will choose the driver to
install".

if you need more help go to http://www.belkin.com/support/

Or check http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp...8&TopicId=2200 if you
want to switch the drivers after having the SP2 driver already running.
