Default help:bluetooth receiver in mobile

hi

i am interested in knowing how the bluetooth (radio /audio)receiver is connected to the internal hardware architecture of the mobile.
i mean..audio signal transmitted over bluetooth RF is digital..does it just send this signal to the microcontroller of the mobile phone ..bypassing the audio IC in side he mobile(used for converting speech analog to digital.and processing)..or it converts the digital signla into analog and then sends it for audio processing thru the audio processing chip (for eg nokia 3310/3315 uses N100 audio IC for this purposes)

realy in need of this info.
thank u in advance.
