How Bluetooth outputs information.

I'm about to setup a database system and I was curious if there is any information on how the "notebook" gives the information from a handheld "notebook" to "desktop".

Is the way it works different all "notebooks"?

Basically, I need the bluetooth "notebook" to auto sync with the "desktop" computer and adds the information.

So i'm guessing databases.
