Cool Why the need for Bluetooth Dongle at USB 2.0??

Hi,

can anyone answer me this question as I cant seem to find the answer anywhere.

I just bought a USB Bluetooth Dongle which runs on USB 2.0

But then I got to thinking, why does it even need to be USB 2.0 as it is a bluetooth V 1.2 and to my understanding it only runs at a max of 1 - 1.5 mbps??

So I was wondering wouldnt they just make this device to be USB ver 1.1 or are there other advantages to having USB 2.0??

I need to know because I have plenty of spare ports on my USB 1.1 connections but none on my USB 2.0 ports.. so before I go out and buy a USB 2.0 hub I am thinking I might as well just put the dongle on one of my 1.1 ports as there would be no difference??

Please help.. Thanks
