Two Laptops One Has Faster Speeds

Anyway me and my sister got two laptops. She of course got the slower cheaper one (HP dv1000) and I got the faster and more expensive one (zd8000). I have problem though one my laptop I can't get downloads over 150kb A Second. On her's it goes as fast as on the regular one upto 400KB a second. Can anyone help me please. My laptop is the only one online and still slow speeds.

The weird thing is though if I download two things they download both at 150KB a sec. So is there a setting that's wrong or something. Because that is kind of weird.
