new poster re motorola v3

Hi I'm completely new to this group so if I ask anything covered recently -
sorry.
I have a motorola v3, palm t5 and jabra bt800 as well as a think outside bt
keyboard. My problem is I like to retrieve sms onto the palm, use emails
etc which worked fine with the phone prior to buying the bt headset which
when set up not only stops the palm to phone connection when on but also
when the headset is off - I have got back to limited functionality with the
headset uninstalled running through palm's phone install utility.

My question is can I get a situation where they will all work though maybe
not at the same time without the hassle of fiddling with setups all the time
or will i have to choose between bt headset or palm connectivity? In which
case is pocket pc a better option?

I've emailed relevent manufacturers but had no response as yet
