Default 2 internet connections

At our office we have cable and dsl as a backup. When cable goes down is there any way to switch over to the dsl without rebooting and collecting new ip address. I did a networking job and they had a firebox router by redback that has 2 wan ports on it will this work? Does anyone have any info on using two wan ports i've never seen that before
