Default Bluetooth Serial Connection

I am trying to use a certain piece of software with my motorola V551
cellphone. The software requires a USB cable or Serial cable to connect

to the phone but I am trying to get it to work through a bluetooth
adapter. From the software, I can select which COM port to use (for
serial, which is what I will no doubt be using because USB gives me no
options) to connect to the phone. I have tried setting up the part in
device manager for the bluetooth serial connection thing to use a
certain COM port and then for the software to also use that one, and
although it got me farther ahead than I originally was, it still does
not work and I'm not sure why. I only have one physical COM port on my
computer (COM 1) and have tried using other ones by creating more
virtual ports using third party software. What can I do?
Thanks

Default Re: Bluetooth Serial Connection

I am having the same problem with the V551 and a bluetooth connection with
Mobile Phone tools. I think it may be wth the mobile phone tools software,
because i tried another software program Mobile Master, and it communicated
with my phone no problem. the only problem was that with this program i
couldnt download any ringtones and so forth. It did however "synch" with my
phone.
I would appreciate any help too if found.
