Default Connecting my Laptop to TV

I have a Dell laptop and I want to connect it to my TV.

(I often download TV shows etc and they are not so good on the laptop screen hence I would like to show the downloaded TV show on my widescreen TV).

How can I connect my laptop to my UK widescreen TV

Is that most flat panel TV has VGA input? Bluetooth won't work as your TV probably won't have a bluetooth built-in and also bandwidth of bluetooth will also be a problem..

The best and easiest way to connect your laptop to TV is to use a cable which is called S-Cable. it cost around 25$.
have fun.

Depends on which kind of output you have on your laptop video card and input on your TV set.

Generally speaking, a video card you buy now has D-SUB、DVI、S-VIDEO outputs at the same time and S-VIDEO output is usually used to make this TV-out happend.

No idea of your laptop, the instructions below are all based assuming you have a S-VIDEO jack on your laptop, although I am not sure(I have a IBM T42 which doesn't have one).

TV-OUT through S-VIDEO

The S-Video jack on your graphics card may have seven or four little holes and a rectangular slot or "key". You need to check this before you order the cable.

Check the URL below for pictures of different kind of S-Video jacks with 4 pins or 7 pins and the different kinds of cable.

(It's an posting in Chinese, just check the pictures.)

(Learn more about S-Video, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video)

You have to check what kind of video out your laptop has? Mainly this is S-video. If you have s-video out, then you need an s-video connector and just conncet LapTop to TV (AV connector).
