3 weeks old, my Moto HS820 headset is dead. Blue light does not turn
on, recharge does nothing. Any ideas?

Take it back to where you got it for a replacement.

I had the same problem with my HS820. It seems that the charger went
bad after a couple of weeks so the unit could never be recharged and
just died a slow death...

Seems to be a problem with that model. I suggest you return it for a
refund if possible.
