Bluetooth ports and networking question?
I wanted a print server for my home network and while looking over Ebay I came across a Belkin F8T030 Bluetooth Access Point with USB Print Server, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and add a Bluetooth access point to my network at the same time (it already supports wired and wireless, so adding BT as well covers more products to connect to the network), although I didn't really need the Bluetooth support at the moment I am sure it will come in handy with some of the devices I have at home should I wish to update them over the internet, plus at £30 it was quite a saving on the new price and around a similar price to other USB print servers (plus this one can use 2 USB printers).
It's not arrived yet as I only bought it today, but I was wondering, does anyone know if I will be able to print from my Sony Ericsson K750i via this device without using a computer?
They are both Bluetooth devices, but I have seen mention saying that to use the print server with the Bluetooth the device must support Bluetooth sockets. I am not sure at present if the K750i does support this or not and while this could be asked in the mobile phone section, I suspect it would be better to ask it in here as it's also a computer and networking issue and I suspect there's more knowledge on this type of subject in this area of the forum.
The K750i also has HP Bluetooth printing software on it, so that gives me a bit more hope, but if it doesn't work that way does anyone know if the K750i will connect via Bluetooth ports and if not, is there any Java software I can download for my phone that would allow it to do so?
I am really keen on printing photos directly from my phone as it's has a decent picture quality and I often use it while out and about.
I intend to add another printer to my network shortly, purely for photos, so will more than likely be a photo size printer (the smaller card type). If it was possible to print directly to it via Bluetooth from my phone then this would be very handy indeed.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
