Default Blue Tooth Dongle + Brookstone Headset doesn't connect

I bought an ISCC bluetooth dongle in USB to use with my Brookstone Bluetooth headset. However I can not get them to connect. When I press search for devices it doesn't appear to find anything, and when I press "Add Device" it asks me to add a code like "00:00:00:00:" something like that. All my manual says is a 8888 access code. My Headphones can connect to my Cell phone and another battery powered reciever, however both of these are off and in another room while I'm trying to pair these.. A little help please! I'm using Bluesoleil.
