Question WRT54 G router stopped working

I've been having a problem with my Lynksys WRT54 G router recently on WinXP and have no idea what could be causing it as it worked fine a few days ago. The "Cisco Systems" light on the front of the router is on and will not go off no matter what I do. I've tried re-downloading and installing the latest firmware, holding the reset button on the back for 30 seconds, and disconnecting and reconnecting the router's power. I've tried setting up the router (again) for Comcast (as per their instructions), re-entering my pc's physical address on the Mac Addr. Clone and then saving the settings. I've tried turning off the computer, disconnecting the router, disconnecting my cable modem, waiting 30 seconds, re-connecting modem, waiting until all the lights are normal, reconnecting the router and powering up the computer. None of these have worked...that red light is still on steadily. Sure would appreciate any help or advice.
