Question Connection range in real life

They say a class 1 is 100 meters and a class 2 is 10 meters.

But what about going through walls? If you had a class 1 bluetooth going in the middle of your house, could it reach everywhere in the house, going through all the walls? What about a class 2?

I think this "100 meters" is line-of-sight. Does anyone know how many meters one wall is the equivalent of?

Thanks!

Maybe I am missing your question, but a standard wall is based on the thickness of the framing, commonly a 2x4inch wall stud, and sheet rock or paneling on both side, 1/2 inch. In my experience, bluetooth is not effective passing through walls or exceeding 20-30 feet.

I think that means you have experience with class 2 (10 meter) stuff. I was thinking that maybe a class 1 (100 meters) might be more powerful and could therefore go through a wall or two.

Your mostly correct. I do have bluetooth wireless printers setup which claims 100meter range, must be class 2. but I have them within 30 feet. I move the laptop and let ya know.
