Sprint PPC-6601 PocketPC/Phone

I have a Sprint PPC6601 running PocketPC 2003 and it comes with a SDIO slot. I also have an extra Palm SDIO WiFi card available. Problem is the Palm site says that this card only works with the Palm devices and the Treo 700w. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting this card to work with other PocketPC 2003 devices and if so, how?
