Thumbs up How to Replace Serial Port Cable by Bluetooth

Hi,

This is my first time that I am posting over this forum, my name is M.A.Bamboat (Software Engineer), and working as a Data Analysts at Health Care Department.

Here, I am incharge to handle the I.T. equipments and responsible for I.T. innovation too.

I would like to ask all my friends that is there any Bluetooth Serial Adapter which replace the Serial Cable; here I am enclosing the details of it.

I have a BenQ PB6110 multimedia Projector, which having 15-pin serial port (Female) and P-4 Laptop Accer, and there is a cable provided to project the presentation over the mulimedia projector through LAPTOP, so the question is how to remove the serial cable and make my LAPTOP to be free to move anywhere within the conference room by using Bluetooth technology.

I have searched many products over the web such as Bluetooth Serial Adapter, Free2Move Bluetooth and etc. but the common factor in all searched product is that all are supporting 9-pin serial.

I am also enclosing the back view of above citied multimedia projector, where you can see the socket of serial port.

So, Kindly suggest me that how I can come over this problem and which Bluetooth Serial Adapter I should buy from the market or any new alternative ideas to solve this senario.

Thank You in advance and looking forward for your kind reply

Regards,
M.A.Bamboat

Default Maybe you should ask a hardware engineer

they maybe able to explain the difference between a 9 pin DE-9 RS232 serial port and a 15 pin D-SUB video connector.

If you are in charge of IT equipment then I would strongly recommend spending some time gaining a basic familiarity with the standard connectors on most IT equipment if you want to remain in that position for any length of time.

Now on to your question:
Since the effective datarate required for a video connection is in the gigabit range rather than the couple of megabits bluetooth can handle there are no bluetooth solutions for your problem.

People are talking about wireless video using UWB but I'm not aware of any products that are currently avalible.
