Newbie Has Questions About Motorola H3

I just purchased a Motorola H3 Bluetooth (using a Motorola v551), but the salesperson wasn't very much help.

1. I am having problems getting the other end of the line to hear my voice; I can hear them, but they can't hear me.

2. I tried to use names from my Phonebook, but my phone says "No Voice Names are stored in Phonebook," when I say Call (Name of Person).

I would appreciate anyone's help.
