HotSync Treo to Samsung Q1P hangs
I just bought a Samsung Q1P and Bluetooth keyboards and mouse for it. All these work great.
I've also got a Palm Treo 650, and I've managed to get the Treo to connect to the Q1 through a Bluetooth COM port. This should allow the Treo to do a HotSyc (transferring calendar, contact, task, etc. between the Q1 and the Treo) and also allow the Treo to provide an internet connection for the Q1 through my cell phone provider when the Q1 is not within range of a WiFi network.
All of this works fine, with one exception: When I do a HotSync between the Treo and Q1P via Bluetooth, it gets about halfway through and then hangs. No more data gets transmitted, and the Palm software (on both the Treo and the Q1) complain that the connection has been lost.
Even more annoyingly, all the other Bluetooth devices attached to the Q1 stop working. The mouse and both keyboards show up in the Bluetooth Devices in Range but all of them have just the checkmark that indicates pairing instead of the arrows which indicate a connection.
At this point the only way I've found to recover Bluetooth functionality is to reboot the Q1 and then re-pair all the devices.
Any ideas on what could be going wrong? Does Bluetooth have a buffer overrun condition when a lot of data is transmitted in a short time? Or does the transmitter overheat or something like that?
