Default bluetooth services not being discovered on phone

Ok, so i have a toshiba tecra m5 with vista installed (i have also had this problem with xp).

I'm a noob when it comes to bluetooth, I'm not sure what a bluetooth stack is but i'm assuming it's like drivers.

I have a sprint ppc-6700 and i can successfully pair my laptop and phone together. The only services my phone shows that the laptop offers is a serial port, that's it! I was under the impression that i should see a lot of services (main one i need is activesync)

i dont know why i only see serial port.

I am able to send files back and forth via bluetooth, but what i really need to do is activesync via bluetooth.. please help

You need to refer to your Active Sync manual. The serial port that your bluetooth is connecting to is what you connect to via Active Sync configuration.

I havent tried this but read about on the Microsoft support site under Com Ports.
