Driving me mad - Bluetooth on Vista

I bought an LM Technologies Bluetooth USB dongle that said it was Vista compatible.

After having no luck with the discs that came with the thing, nor the latest Broadcom driver, I decided to try these instructions:

Now I have the Bluetooth icon, my mobile can see and pair with the computer, however every single time I try to do anything with the Bluetooth icons on my PC the "Bluetooth Setup wizard" appears. I go through it, choose options, etc, but then as soon as I go to use it next time, the "Bluetooth Setup wizard" appears again.

If I try to send a file from my mobile to the PC, my phone says "Bluetooth connection failes" (the little Bluetooth tray icon on my PC flashes green for a fraction of a second)

I experienced something similiar with a bluetooth dongle that I purchased and vista. I tried to load the drivers for the device using the software which came with it but vista did not allow me to install them.
Consequently I simply plugged in the dongle and vista recognized the device and loaded it's own drivers. It works for me. Perhaps uninstall everything and simply plug the hardware in. Vista should recognize it and complete the install.
