Default Bluetooth Possibilities?

Hello Wifi-Forum.com members,
I'm creating a device/application interface that lets users know whether or not they are at the right unit.

If a user walks up to computer #1, the Bluetooth transmits a signal to tell the handheld device, "you're at computer #1" - same goes for computer #2, #3...so on and so forth.

From my lack of knowledge with Bluetooth and handheld devices, my understanding is that the bluetooth device is sent a "request" asking for approval to be viewed. Is this something that HAS to be done or can an application stay open/active and receive updated information as needed?

If you're an expert in Bluetooth technologies, please let me know. I'd like to speak with you further; on the phone even.

Regards,
Ron

Hi, I don't get you, it is easy, most devices which has bluetooth features, on LCD, it will show the device name you pair, in this case, it is easy to tell which unit you are pairing, beside, most bluetooth devices are Point - to - Point, even multi-point, it will also show the different name for different devices. Why do you still writing another program for that?
