Default Slow bluetooth in linux

Hey There,

Not sure if anybody knows the answer to this but I'm experiencing very slow bluetooth transfer under debian linux (Haven't tried any other linux derivatives) compared to my windows and mac based systems. Is there a specific reason for this.

The specs of the machines are roughly similar (Core 2 duo 1gb of RAM 80Gb HD) and the bluetooth chips/dongles are identical (Class 1 bluetooth version 2.0).

I am running the 2.6.20 kernel with bluez 3.17.

Just as a comparison it takes me roughly 25secs to transfer a 1mb file from my windows and mac pc's but well over 1.5 minutes in linux.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I much prefer using the bluetooth in debian than the others.

Cheers

Joe
