Unhappy PC Bluetooth Help (disconnect issue)

Alright, Im a newb to this forum and mainly joined for a hopeful answer to a question I have.

I recently bought an insignia headset/bluetooth adapter combo.

Now, I am using this as my main headphones for PC and Gaming (I dont care about mic so It's perfect for me). But I have found on a few certain games that I try and load, after I load them (in a window) the bluetooth icon turns red (instead of the teal for connection) my bluetooth lan connection disappears and my found new hardware icon appears. After a few seconds the bluetooth icon turns white.. then teal (as it finds/reconnects to my headset) but I cannot get sound from the game at this point - however if I leave game running and say open Windows Media player - I can get sound from that.

The Product name of the item I have is NS-BTHDP/NS-BTHDST.
Im using the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software 5.1.0.4200

If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very much appreciative....

Thank you!
~Matt
