Communicating with Bluetooth Module via Hyperterminal

I posted a thread a couple of days ago with no replies. I finally received my Free2move Bluetooth module and hooked it up. I set everything up with the defaults.

Once this device is connected, how do I communicate with it? I was able to pair it with my cellphone and also with laptop...but what can I do with it? I created a connection with Hyperterminal but now what? What commands do I use? There were many configuration commands withing Hyperterminal as well. What configuration do I need for Hyperterminal?

I want the device to output a TTL high or low when the based upon different inputs (i.e. RING, button push, etc.).
