no playback on pc headset

hi all. I've just got a metal gear solid 4 bluetooth headset and im trying to use it for voice chat on msn messenger. if i connect it to my ps3 then i can speak and here the playback through the headset fine but when i connect to my computer i can only record.

im using windows vista and bluesoleil. the connection all shows fine as a "bluetooth headset and microphone" profile and in the playback devices list the volume indicator does move when i start playing a video like its trying to output through the bluetooth but i get no actual sound.

in msn messenger if i run the audio/video device setup wizard again the microphone works fine but for setting the output device if i select the bluetooth headset the volume control locks at zero and i cant move it like somethings forced it to mute.

am i doing something wrong or is there any way i can test to see if it should or shouldnt work. it works fine on my ps3 and bluetooth phones.

Oh! Don’t worry. It’s just a common problem now days seen in many people. well considering im 6foot2 and only weigh about 64kilos id have to assume this forum doesnt have the best form of antispam systems. does anyone else have any ideas that may help?
