I'm looking for a simple Bluetooth intercom
Hi all, I'm looking for a system that allow me to connect 2 bluetooth
earphones, and let them to communicate, without any other device.
The aim is to install them onto my motorbike helmets, fitting them as
better as possible, obtaining an intercom that needs NO wires, and no
matters.
Do you think this is possible?
Till now, I've found any BT earphone that could connect to a similar
one.
Thank you, Alessio - Rome

Alessio I've seen an ad this week in Mobile News about a BMW motorcycle
helmet that has a bluetooth headset built into it.
I doubt that you could pair two headsets together.

Thank you Marie, a similar system is mounted on the new Dainese helmet
collection, the matter is I don't need new helmets!
Also Dainese (and Vemar) use Bluetooth.

Both available only in Italian sorry.
I'm also thinking to a couple of BT headset paired to a BT Palm.. is
there a software that made an easy connection between them?

Bluetooth is a Server-Client system!!!!
I believe the headsets can only be clients. They are generally not capable of performing the full set of functions that, for example, the USB "dongles" that plug into your computer can. Bluetooth overall contains a very rich set of protocols (types of interactions and data exchange configurations)--almost so rich that people are kindof blown away by learning them and getting into various ways to use them. You might need to have a mini-mini-mini linux computer on a bike, to use the REGULAR-type headsets--this would provide a central Server to which the headsets would connect. I expect those built into bike helmets already use a special chip that provides more capabilities, that the normal $30-$50 headset does not. I am still learning about all this.

I'm looking for a simple Bluetooth intercom
Alessio I have also been looking for a simple bluetooth system for rider-to-pillion communication. The Midland BT Intercom comes the closest but is quite pricey, especially when buying with SA Rand. I would be interested to know if you find something suitable.

I found a product called the Interphone or Supertooth Moto. It clips onto the helmet and provides intercom function between two helmets. It claims a range of up to 200m. it can also at the same time act as a headset for a cell phone. The best deal I got was through
