Phone only view on Moto V3?
Does anyone know how to only view Phone stored contacts on a V3, i.e. not
view the sim ones in phonebook?
I often duplicate the entries to keep contacts on the sim incase of a
problem with the phone!
Anyone?
TIA,

Nope, I've been trying to do this since getting the phone.

Ditto, and it's a PITA being forced to view both. All my previous
phones allowed the choice of phone or SIM-based contacts as the
primary addressbook.
My only suggestion is to make use of 'Categories', as SIM-based
entries can't be assigned to a category and therefore won't show when
you view the phonebook by category.

don't know if it's the same thing, but can't you set the primary number
for each number, and then set it to only show primary contacts?

Nope, still lists sim contacts. I'm resorted to using categories. Just one
named Phone and put all the phone contacts in to that. Another thing which
is annoying me.
Anyone know how to stop the damn thing switching to Loud Style when plugging
in the charger?

Arghh! I hadn't realised that it did this - what's the point? It's not
as if there's a "fully charged" alert you need to hear.... pointless
imho.
To answer your query, no I haven't found a way of stopping this
behaviour. :-(

Don't all Motorola phones behave this way? The intent is to automatically
turn off vibrate and turn on the audible ring when when you plug in
the charger (and revert back to the previous state when you unplug the
charger). The phone is not on your person, and thus vibrate would not
be useful. In the "old days", vibrate and ring were your the only two
styles, but if you now are using some non-vibrate style other than Loud,
I can see where the switch to Loud could be an annoyance.

This has not been annoying to me because on my v60s I have set the
meaning of "loud" to be "silent". Since the charger is the only
user of this phone which ever sets it to "loud", I am happy. I
still have "soft" and "vibrate & ring" available since I use only
"silent" and "vibrate" myself.

Very true, I expect Vibrate to be turned off when you plug in the charger
but it's a bit pants that it goes to loud. I now need to set the volume of
loud style quite low. Nothing worse than your phone going off loud in a
quiet office IMO. I like the phone, and I like Motorola's menu system, I
just don't like the lack of Configuration options.

Just configure the 'loud' ring style to a lower volume or vibrate, or
silent. This is possible with most recent Motorola models and I would assume
that it's possible with the (overpriced in my opinion) V3.
