Default MP3 format on V220?

I can connect via USB ok, I can even upload and download OK via P2KMan.exe.
What's more I can upload and play an MP3 via my handset, but...

I can't get an uploaded MP3 to be my ring tone. (
Even if it plays it via the media menu section, and what's more if I select
it as my ring tone via the media section it won't then allow me into the
ringtone menu to change it back (I have to do that via the multimedia
menus).

I'm guessing there's some format/specification of MP3 that has to be set for
the V220 to be able to use it as a Ring tone, anyone know what this is??

I've tried short clips etc, and at 40Kbps which seems to be the same as the
bundled MP3 that comes with it (hello moto etc).

Any replies gratefully recieved.

Regards,
Andy

Use mobile phone tools if you want to use a mp3 tone as a ringer, for some
reason when uploaded with p2k it won't work as a ringer.
Delete the ones you uploaded via p2k and re-upload em using mobile phone
tools.

Cheers,
Had come to much the same conclusion.
Following a bit of a hack around with the existing "hello moto" mp3 that's
on there, we've noticed that the format isn't standard MP3, in fact if you
rename the extension (after download via P2K) to .WAV, it'll play something,
albeit not the actual track! How weird is that!
