Re: V3 v V600
I have just bought a V3 for myself and a V600 for my wife. The menus are exactly the same, identical
as far as I can tell. They have the same 5MB of memory too. The only difference apart from the
obvious shape as far as I can tell is that the V3 screen is 176 x 220 and the V600 screen is 170 x
220, The screen on the V3 is superior when used as a camera viewer but the camera seems to be of
similar quality. My V3 came in a flash anodised case with a leather phone case, belt clip, mono
earpiece/mic and usb lead. The V600 came with a bluetooth headset. The charging port on the V3 is
similar to that of a DV camera usb connector and very nice, it also doubles as the charging port.

Golly. A charging port which doubles as a charging port... how, erm,
useful!
I know what you intended, though - the charging port doubles for data
communications too. It's a very neat idea to use mini-USB as a
connector.

I am in the U.K. I got my V3 from 02 (my uk provider) as an upgrade option for £50. The wanted £249
until I asked them for my PAC number to take my contract elsewhere and they buckled Another guy I
work with has just done the same, asked for his PAC number and they gave him one for £50 too (must
sign up for a 1-year contract though).
The belt clip is a simple black plastic affair which clips onto a plastic post on the leather case.
It can fit in either up/down fashion (clip onto waistband style) or left/right (clip through belt
loop). It does seem to hold the phone quite securely, but I haven't used it so couldn't comment on
it's strength.

You don't need to clip it to a belt loop - that sounds horribly
unstable. The clip at the back of the case will actually rotate 90
degrees to allow the phone to be hept horizontal and clipped to your
belt. But why you would want to look like an American is beyond me.

The button on the leather case that the clip fits onto is off-centre to the phone. If you use it to
carry the phone horizontally then it will put a twisting strain on the fitting. I wouldn't trust it,
it looks too easy a way to lose your expensive phone.
