Default V400 Problem

I have a Motorola V400 and the "end" key has quit working. I have been a
Cingular customer since 6/2004 and I didn't buy the phone insurance.

I plan on stopping at my local Cingular store tomorrow. Am I in for a fight
in order to get a replacement or is Cingular pretty easy-going about stuff
like this?

Thanks!

The phone should be under warranty.

Call customer care.
Warranty work is done by mail in most markets.

No, no big hassel

I had to replace a phone under warranty, they wanted
my original contract for the start date.(even though they
had it in the computer.) Lucky me I was able to find it
and returned to the store the next day to exchange my phone.

Let em ask you this.

If a particular button on your home phone stopped working would you expect
your landline phone company to replace it?

If you bought a TV at BestBuy and the power button failed to work would you
expect them to replace it? Even after offered a replacement warranty?

Cingular shouldn't have to replace your phone because you were:

a) to stupid to purchase the insurance/warranty.

b) to lazy to contact Motorola, the equipment manufacturer, about a
defective product.

c) a total dumbass.

d) all of the above.

Superfly if anyone is a dumbass, I would say it is you. And yes your phone
should be under warranty. I think buying insurance is a rip-off. I have been
using cell phones for over ten years and the only time one quit on me it was
fairly new like yours and under warranty.

I was told by the guys in my Cingular store to purchase the insurance,
then after 30 days, claim the phone. Depending on the insurance you
purchase, you will only have to pay $50 to replace it. I destroyed
the screen on my old cell, bought the insurance and 30 days later, got
a new one. To end calls, just close the phone. you'll get by just
fine.
