P910 firmware upgrade probs

I have a network.SIM free phone and I am trying online upgrade.
It seems to download the files okay but when about to upgrade is says error
communicating with device and fails.
I'm using win xp sp2. Any ideas why it's not allowing an upgrade?

Maybe you're using some data-cable and not the sync-station which is needed
for the online update?

Nope, using the sync station. It seems to initialise okay and then says time
remaining 12 minutes and then just can't seem to talk to the p910 to write
the firmware :-(

Do you hav _any_ aplications running, like Tracker and so on? You need
to close those down.
That goes for P900, guess its the same for P910.

Switch off Firewall and antivirus before upgrading.
