I take it you are referring the warning about an unsigned driver? Hint - if
validating drivers by Microsoft was free...

As for your installation not working & the fact Belkin's phone lines are
busy, perhaps stating your issues will illicit some help here. Before you
curse Belkin disproportionately, bare in mind that they didn't write the
software, Widcomm did (one of the better of a bad bunch from what I've
gleaned). FWIW, my take on BT in general that it is unreliable crap & should
ideally replaced with something a little more bombproof which won't happen
at this late stage.

If validation were free, poor programmers would keep submitting their junk,
hoping Microsoft would fix their crap.

Mac was the cleanest software for years because no one got certification if
it couldn't pass the validation tests, regardless of price. I'm glad to see
Microsoft toughen their rules, so I don't waste time repairing damage from
poor programming.

Interesting point. Many companies do seem to resent paying MS anything & I
admit to not knowing how much the validation process actually costs. Still,
I suspect that MS are at least partly to blame if they want to promote
decent driver design. Given the lack of any compulsion, what incentive is
there?

A relative recently bought a 2nd hand Mac running MS Word. Their
conclusion - leaving aside the politics, software availability & costs, was
just how much better the Mac ran (& on far less powerful hardware.)
