Bluetooth speed

Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600C and a Nokia 6230. I am troubled by the
slow throughput between the two when using bluetooth.

As an example, copying a 4 MByte mp3 file from the Inspiron to the
Nokia takes about 3 minutes with the reported throughput on the file
transfer dialog showing about 23 KBytes/sec. This when the two devices
are within about 30 cm of each other

My understanding is that Bluetooth should be capable of transfer rates
near to 125 KBytes/sec.

What do I need to do to get this kind of transfer rate ?
