Default Best bluetooth headset on the market?

Hey group. I'm a newbie so forgive the lack of knowledge. I'm basically
looking for a headset with best range, without having to crack my piggy
bank. She's so pretty and pink. I know it will cost me, just don't want
to buy the most expensive thing out there, if I don't have to. I'm
looking for longest range, and voice clarity, in noisy and windy
situations, that is pairable(my spell check tells me that's not a word)
w/ 2 phones. My cell and my Uniden/bluetooth cordless(awesome phone, so
far). Now I've put in the research, and now on my second headset, which
both suck. Treo/Palm headset, sucks. Plantronics Expl. 350 little
better, but it's like, you move an inch and sound breaks up. Glad I
have the receipt and didn't send out for rebate. I know you boys (or
girls) should know best, after all the Treo headset got good reviews,
so I'm not wasting my time reading amateur's opinions. Help out, if you
know what will work. Best, David.

Default Re: Best bluetooth headset on the market?

Similar (but not identical) situation here. I have a Scala 500 headset for
my V3M. It's adequate but has annoying quirks. Sometimes, moving a few
inches throws things off and sound gets very bad for several seconds until
something gets resynched. The connection between phone and headset often
drops. If I press the button on the headset right away after this happens,
they usually rediscover each other and I am prompted to "Say a command."
However, if I don't do it soon enough, the phone will turn off BT power.
Occasionally it will decide to turn it off right away. I haven't reported
this to Scala or Motorola tech support, as I am confident that each will
blame the other. Also, the UI on the BT is very sucky. Push the little
plastic stub down for ten seconds to power it on. If you don't let go of it
immediately after seeing the blue LED flash, then it will go into
promiscuous mode looking for a new phone to pair with. Turning it off is
similary difficult. Sound quality isn't great but it's adequate.

I can live with all of the above. All I want is to be able to answer the
phone while I'm driving. But I would like to get a headset for my wife, and
I don't think I can persuade her to tolerate all of these things. The
biggest annoyance is the frequent connection drops. If anyone has found a
headset that is more stable, then I'd really like to hear about it.
