Transmitting audio over BT to non-A2DP headset

I seem to be in a niche category of people that's interested in low-
quality BT audio. I have an iPod that I use exclusively for listening
to talk radio podcasts, and I could care less about high-quality
stereo audio delivered over A2DP - I'd just like to listen to it using
my plain old Bluetooth 2.0 headset. Unfortunately, almost all of the
products and information online is oriented toward A2DP support.

I'm wondering if the average BT transmitter (http://www.google.com/
products?um=1&tab=wf&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=bluetooth+transmitter)
that plugs into a 3.5mm headphone jack or iPod dock connector can
deliver audio from my iPod to a standard Bluetooth 2.0 headset.

If you can find a BT transmitter that supports HANDSFREE audio,
not stereo, which is another BT profile entirely, It would
transmit the audio to the handsfree headset in mono. It would
sound as good as the headset. BT is digital and has NOTHING to
do with audio fidelity. The headset, on the other hand, is
designed for human voice and, probably, has a limited audio
bandwidth from 300 to 3000 Hz, like your SELLphone. It would
sound about like monophonic AM radio's 50-5000 Hz
bandwidth...muffled. No reason it won't work EXCEPT the BT
stereo transmitters are for STEREO to the STEREO profile...

As you said, Larry, a more articulate forumlation of my previous
question about Bluetooth transmitters for iPod/iPhone would be: Are
there any iPod/iPhone-compatible Bluetooth transmitters that support
the HFP and/or HSP Bluetooth profiles? It doesn't appear so; it seems
that all modern external Bluetooth transmitters of them transmit using
A2DP, requiring an A2DP sink. So my conclusion is that it's easier
(though more expensive) to look for small A2DP headset rather than
look for a HFP/HSP transmitter.

AS of last week, Radio Shack, of all places, had the MotoROKR S9
stereo headset that does both profiles at once....on sale for
$79!

That's cheaper than the net was selling it for and I bought one.
It's paired with the MotoROKR Z6M on Alltel and the stereo coming
out of the pair is just superb! The S9 also makes NO MECHANICAL
NOISES when you move, one thing that always pisses me off about
headphones in general. No creaking, clicking, funny noises from
the headband. It's really light, considering it has a Lithium-
Polymer rechargeable battery pack in it and Bluetooth
transceiver, sitting on the back of your neck, hardly noticeable
once you get it fitted around your big elephant ears...(c;

Someone was kind enough to email me a working solution to this: A
Jabra GN1110 with a Radio Shack 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter! This
apparently pairs to a Motorola HS820 headset (and I'm guessing any HSP
Bluetooth headset).

Man! You must have one neat computer! I've never seen anyone
Email HARDWARE anywhere! Does it have a "transporter" like USS
Enterprise?...(c; I wanna send an extra gas power plant to a
friend in Seattle. How big an item will the Email system
transport, anyways?...(c;
